Hi. My name is Abdullah Amir Shahnawaaz Jaufeeraully and I'm 22 years of age. I have gained good knowledge in the fields of Telecommunications after my three years of study at the University of Mauritius.
This is a small walk-thru of my E-Portfolio. I hope you will like it and feel free to contact me.
The BEng Telecommunications Engineering with Networking Degree
Since August 2018, I have been at the University of Mauritius and as the title justifies the course name, I'm keen to describe some paradigms of what I have gained as skills, knowledge and management capabilities. Likewise, this also settles on how to deal with deadlines, inspire others to move forward, and cultivate a proper learning environment.
This degree is quite versatile in the sense that it extrapolates itself through various courses such as the Computer Science degree, the Electrical & Electronic Degree, and the Web Development Degree.

Telecommunications
As part of the artifacts, the Telecom industry incorporates various fields and my undergraduate degree was tailored in such a way that we, students, are well equipped for the job market. Starting from the 1G cellular network to the recent 5G network, this course has enabled me to learn and understand the prime components that most engineers deal with.
Mobile Application Dev
Java programming has really scaled up in the industries. I was quite impressed by the materials provided in order to produce the best deliverables. Starting from the basics of Java, I have ended up in the world of mobile development where I managed to create applications.
sECURITY & nETWORKING
The amazing fact is that the CCNA certification is partially introduced as core modules in the curriculum. As for engineering purposes, it is recommended to know the basics of networking such that troubleshooting is fast sorted. The networking aspects also fall in the sections above, for example, port forwarding rules in order to create a broader communication or even segmentation of networks.
Multimedia
The DNA for multimedia comes with various sets of data such as audio, image and video. For practical deployments, the Matlab application was used. As for the deliverables, the main focus was on the implementation of components from the encoding till the decoding stage. The error coding techniques were the sparkling attraction in terms of self-analysis schemes.
Cloud Exposure
I had a good exposure to cloud architectures for almost one year. The Firebase and IBM cloud were the main back-end consumption of the real-time data. The Machine learning algorithms (Java) were also tested with the real-time data in the cloud database.
JavaScript
Following the paradigms of programming, I had a short exposure to JS programming. I have also learned the client-server JS whereby I have hosted cloud applications such as video-conferencing apps. Last but not least, I have also deployed small JS apps on the Node.JS framework.
Pathway to major projects and workforce in industries
I shall now elaborate on the set of technicalities that I have learned and produced in terms of deliverables to the industries.
Optical Character Recognition Application
Project #1
STRATEGY: It converts camera captures into editable texts. These texts can be stored on cloud databases and produce machine learning algorithms outputs.
RESULTS: A realtime in-built graph is present to plot all the data that is being captured. Other activities illustrate the Linear Regression output as well as the Decision tree output.
TECHNOLOGIES/PLATFORMS USED: Android Studio, Netbeans IDE, Eclipse Servlet, MySQL, IBM Cloud, PHP and Rest APIs.
